The Reluctant Dragon

When a child with a love of fairy tales discovers a real dragon living nearby, the village expects a fearsome beast. Instead, they meet a gentle dragon who prefers poetry and peaceful afternoons in the sunshine to breathing fire. Together with the legendary St. George, an unlikely friendship develops as they set out to challenge expectations and prove that appearances can be deceiving.

Based on the much-loved story by Kenneth Grahame, author of The Wind in the Willows, this original Marlowe Theatre production combines music, humour and heart to create a memorable theatre experience for younger audiences and their families. Recommended for children aged 3 years and over, it offers a wonderful introduction to live theatre during the festive season.

This performance features a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter, providing Deaf BSL users with live communication support throughout the performance.
