Working Remotely - COVID-19

Hello, I’m Karen from Interpreting Matters.  We’ve realised these last few weeks have been extremely stressful for everyone, so we have been thinking of ways we can support both interpreters and Deaf professionals.  We have created an online resource page on our website that you can access.  We have a training video that has been created by Sherratt Rowan for us, which explains how to work online, how to set up, what equipment you need – this is available free of charge to all.  I have been creating documents that are information sheets and step by step instructions on how to use software packages to help you feel more confident.  We hope that they are all useful for you.  Even though they are aimed at interpreters, we hope that other people such as deaf professionals will find the information useful too.  There are a few other items on our website that we have found that other people have created, one a link to the recording of an online webinar for Deaf Professionals that Toby Burton ran.  We hope that you all find the information provided useful.  Take care, bye.
